Wandering around SBG and feeling tired and hungry, we went downstairs for rest and food. I remembered it used to be a food court down there but now, it is Food For Thought.
The place has lovely ambience, price is reasonable and food is good.
We tried the homemade fish fingers and this Trio Mini Burgers - Spicy chicken, cheese burger and pulled pork burger. My fav goes to the chicken burger. The other two are equally good as well.
This cost $15, individual burger ( full size) is $9.
I like this place, I would return again when I am in the area.
Apologies for the poor image, taken with my cellphone but I forgot I had set my resolution to only 2MP. kwa kwa kwa..

BREAKFAST@HOME - OUR BIRTHDAY TREATS AND SALMON
A little bit of cooking again. On our birthday, we had MINI hamburgers with chips.
Recipe is similar to that in the earlier post, but without the Romano cheese, eggs and bread crumbs. This time it is just plain simple beef with salt/pepper.
It is nice.
This morning, we tried for the first time Norwegian Salmon - Pan fried. Turned out very nice.
The one on the right is KK's. Mine's the one above.
Mine is very simple seasoning, with just light soya sauce only. KK added honey and some other herbs to his formula, but taste equally good too.
As for the vegetables, no seasoning at all. Just some sea salt when served.

BREAKFAST @HOME - POTATO CROQUETTE BURGER
Today we have our second batch of burgers for breakfast, because the pack of bread comes in 4, so..that's why.
Decided not to have so much meat, we have potato croquette burger instead. It is as much work as the beef burger! Potato patties are made the way the potato cutlets were made previously.
Ingredients: Hamburger bun, potatoes, peas, corn, bread crumbs, mustard, mayo, tomatoes, cucumber and cheese.
Preparation time: 45 mins.
Partial work done the night before, preparing the potatoes. If not, I don't think we can go to work on time today. With all the hardwork, it is worth it. Yummy!!
BREAKFAST @HOME - BEEF BURGERS
It is burger time! This is our first attempt at making our own beef patties from freshly ground beef.
Initially we wanted to make Ramly burger from it. We attempted to wrap the egg round the patty but realised the patty is too big for it. We used the seasoning method of Ramly burger when cooking.
How it turns out? Well KK's version is always nicer than mine. I think I put too much bread into mine and so it became less "beefy". I used Lisa's recipe for making meatball for the patty, whereas KK did not use bread, he uses bread crumbs instead. Mine taste more like tofu because the bread makes it soft and moist.
Ingredients: Swissbake Hamburger Bun, Cheese, Egg, Beef and seasoning (Romano Cheese, garlic, bread, egg, flour, salt and pepper)
We prepared the patties the night before, otherwise it will be too much work to handle in the morning.
Here's our burgers, mine's the failed one, so its behind. Oh and gosh! I burnt my bread, you can see it is well overdone for the bun.

BREAKFAST@HOME - RAMLY CHICKEN BURGER
Our first attempt at copying the famous Ramly Burger. We watched some videos on Youtube as well as the guy from the pasar malam stall, how he made the burger. So we improvised a little.
We used the remaining Farmland Chicken Burger Patties which we bought the other day. Patty is so so only, not very nice itself. We decided to leave the cheese on the bun instead of cooking it with the patty.
Ingredient: 'Special' recipe sauce from KK (contains Worcestershire sauce), seasoning salt (similar to curry powder), egg, cheese, SwissBake hamburger bun, mayo.
Preparation Time: 30 mins
Cooking: We tried to follow as close as possible the cooking procedure. Of course, we wrapped the patty with the egg; as you can see here, our skill is not that good, so you can still see the patty. Hahaha..
KK did the cooking as usual. I just helped with the little things. Here are our burgers - they are lovely! Would be even better if it's Beef instead.

BREAKFAST @HOME - RAMLY FISH BURGER
It's burger week, we stumbled across RAMLY fish patties at the supermarket, so decided to give it a try. It taste pretty ok, just like those you get from the food court out there.
Ingredients: Ramly fish patties, Gardenia hamburger bun, japanese cucumber, burger cheese, mix vege and mayo.
Preparation time: 30 mins
The one with lots of mayo is KK's. Hee hee..
Update 20 Dec: We had the same burger again this week, but we had it with tomatoes instead. The verdict: tomatoes do not go well with fish burger, taste strange. hahaha..here's a pix of it anyway. Our next try will be with tartar sauce and lots of onions..

BREAKFAST @HOME- BEEF BURGERS
It's been the 3rd week since we started with our home breakfast plan. Today, we had beef burgers. Initially we planned to get fresh beef and grind and make the patties ourselves. Too much work! We settled for frozen meat instead, so here's Farmland's Beef Patties.
Ingredients: Hamburger bun, Farmland Beef patties, tomatoes, onions, mixed vege.
Here are our burgers, can you guess which is mine and which is KK's?
Are the burgers nice; yes of course! But I think they could be better! hahaha..
Update 21 Dec: We had beef burger today, I did the cooking this time, and we had more onions than the previous round. Also we added freshly ground black pepper into it, taste much much better with the pepper.
This one is mine.
This one's KK with his melted cheese. Looks good and taste better than mine.

MEAT DAY
It is "Meat Day"!. Shared chicken chop with KK and had my favorite McDonald Hamburger for tea break. Chicken chop is from Beauty World Food Centre. However, it does not seem to taste as good as the good old days. McDonald's hamburger has always been my childhood favorite, but I was surprised that ever since I changed my diet, I no longer enjoy meat that much nowadays.
